Becky Lynch is one of the most talented women in WWE. She has the ability to draw attention to herself and the storylines she is involved in like few others, as evidenced by her past and current rivalries.

Becky Lynch was interviewed by Amarillo.com where she spoke about ‘Smackdown Live,’ her ‘WrestleMania 32’ match against Charlotte and Sasha Banks and what NXT means for the business.

Lynch first spoke about women in the company. She said that they aren’t fragile and can break the ceiling in terms of expectations every time they go out to the ring.

“I think we just keep going out there and delivering and proving that we’re not delicate. We can push the limits. We can do everything. We love to break the ceiling every night.”

Becky Lynch urges Daniel Bryan to do the right thing: SmackDown LIVE, June 20, 2017

The video above showcases Becky Lynch recently attempting to get ‘Smackdown Live’ general manager Daniel Bryan to talk to James Ellsworth and Carmella about their actions at the ‘Money In The Bank’ pay-per-view. Look at the fire, will and passion she possesses.

Lynch believes there is healthy competition between ‘Raw,’ ‘Smackdown Live’ and in NXT. She thinks this upcoming edition of ‘Smackdown Live’ will continue to show the progression of women in WWE, with a Ladder match on television as opposed to a special.

“I think it has helped breed healthy competition. We on Smackdown Live want to prove that we’re better than RAW. We’re constantly looking at how our matches can be better. Everyone wants to push each other and it helps us all have better matches. In NXT when we got labeled “The Four Horsewomen” it’s because we had compelling matches. I think this ladder match on Tuesday is another step. Having it on pay-per-view is one thing, but to have it on live TV is another.”

From here, Lynch would explain that the women on ‘Smackdown Live’ being the primary focus of the show shouldn’t be looked at as such, as each woman has a unique character and characteristics.

“I don’t see why we shouldn’t be. Why would that matter? We’re really good at our jobs and we have compelling stories. Every woman is so different. Charlotte, Carmella, they’re all different and unique. Everyone in the audience can go, I like that girl or I don’t like that girl. That’s the best. Then we have James Ellsworth. He’s quite the commodity.”

She then explains if she had the chance, she would break James Ellsworth’s arm.

“You know I am. I can’t wait to get my hands on him. I’m hoping for Summerslam. I’m hoping to fight him there in a cage match or something.”

Lynch explains that she is a fan of the draft for many reasons, such as the length of the show, the storylines and the talent presence.

“I love it. It’s brilliant. I think that Smackdown Live has thrived. I think before it was just a two hour repeat of what happened on RAW. You’d see the same people doing the same thing to evolve the story a little bit. Now we have an entirely different following and I maybe bias, but I think Smackdown Live is a better show. Maybe it’s the two-hour time slot, or the great writing and engaging stories. I can’t speak on RAW, because I can’t watch it because we’re doing shows like the one on that Monday in Amarillo.”

She strongly believes that with the ‘Mae Young Classic‘ combined with the current athletes on all brands, the women will eventually get a Royal Rumble match and even perhaps Tag Team titles.

“I think there’ll definitely be a time where the women get their own Royal Rumble. When you look at the fact that in July there is the Mae Young Classic taking place between 32 women. Then you have the women in NXT and the women on both brands. I think it’s a year or two away from having our own Royal Rumble, then maybe our tag titles. The sky is the limit.”

She explains that she loves to watch AJ Styles and Sami Zayn compete in the ring.

“A.J. Styles and Sami Zayn. They’re both so good. A.J. can do anything. He can do crazy flips but it’s his in-between. His timing and pacing is perfect. I’ve never watched an A.J. match and said that’s boring. He’s such a great storyteller. Then Sami Zayn. Wow, there is no one that can get that sympathy. He’s so great to watch because he’s so agile.”

Lynch credits the match against Charlotte and Sasha Banks at ‘WrestleMania 32’ as being one of the biggest in her career!

“That’s a moment that is up there in my career. I left wrestling for seven years. I then came back and I told my friend my goal was to main event Wrestlemania. Then, my first Wrestlemania I’m in our faces on our the side of AT&T Stadium. We didn’t main event it, but the fact is that we arguably had the best match on the card and we were given such a prominent position. We also changed the term form Diva to Women in our division. Diva is something I couldn’t resonate with. The fact we changed it at the biggest Wrestlemania and we stole the show, what more could you ask for.”

Finally, she explains that NXT has been pivotal in the creation of many careers of the current WWE athletes.

“It gave us the freedom to grow and be creative. It gave us the opportunity to try things and see what it was like on a TV scale. I think that’s what made it successful and why fans loved it. It wasn’t a thing where you’re supposed to like this guy or hate this guy. You could see these people turning into characters and finding themselves and I think that was really engaging. The crowds felt like they were part of it and got behind it.”

Editor’s Note:

Becky Lynch is certainly one of the biggest superstars the roster on ‘Smackdown Live’ has and I cannot wait to see what she does on Tuesday with her involvement in the second attempt at the Money In The Bank match.
