Maybe? New Details On Ricochet’s WWE Status, Departure Not Set In Stone?

Not so fast? WWE has quite the collection of talented wrestlers on its roster but at some point, wrestlers leave and go on to try their hand in another promotion. It can be a huge deal when a WWE Superstar shows up elsewhere as a free agent and it seems that we are getting ready to see it again. However, we now have some more details that say it might not be as simple as expected.

Over the weekend, a report surfaced that Ricochet would be leaving WWE later this summer when his contract expired. According to F4WOnline.com, things might not be so simple, as it not confirmed that Ricochet is leaving. According to Fightful Select, Ricochet leaving WWE is seen as “likely” and it is expected that he will sign with AEW eventually. WWE is also expected to begin writing him out of storylines in the near future, possibly with Bron Breakker taking him out. There is no word on when or how this would take place.

Opinion: At the end of the day, it’s hard to imagine that Ricochet doesn’t both leave WWE and sign with AEW. It seems to be the kind of thing that would fit perfectly and we very well might be seeing it take place sooner than later. At the same time, we are probably going to be seeing the end of Ricochet in WWE, which should make for one heck of an ending for a long running star.
