It was a big night. There have been countless wrestlers over the years and it takes someone special to become a true legend. Those are the wrestlers who have made an impact for quite a long time and it can be a big deal when one of them goes away for good. We saw that over the weekend and there was quite the sendoff, but it turns out that there was even more than we got to see.

Over the weekend at AEW Revolution, Sting wrestled the final match in his career, teaming with Darby Allin to defeat the Young Bucks. Following the match, Sting addressed the fans and was praised by the AEW locker room. In addition, the city of Greensboro, North Carolina, where Revolution took place, declared Sunday as “THANK YOU STING” Day. Sting was presented with a proclamation as well a customized baseball bat. Some other legends received bats of their own.

Sting has been on a roll into retirement. Check out what he has been doing in recent weeks:
Opinion: That’s just cool and there is no other way to put it. Sting is someone who has been around wrestling for such a long time now that it is almost impossible to imagine him gone. The great thing is that he went out in style with one of the best final runs in wrestling history. Getting to see the special presentation like this makes it even better, which was a great touch.
