They had an idea. One of the longest running criticisms of WWE has been their last minute changes. There have been several stories of Vince McMahon changing up the plans for a television show without much time before it airs. However, there are times when things change for the better and now it seems that WWE has been planning for something for a good while.

This week’s Monday Night Raw ended with Rhea Ripley and Drew McIntyre shaking hands, forming an alliance between McIntyre and the Judgment Day stable. This is a turn that has been teased for several weeks but nothing had actually taken place. According to Fightful Select, WWE has planned to have McIntyre turn heel for “at least a couple of months”. There is no word on if this is a temporary alliance or if McIntyre will become a full member of the team.

Opinion: It is always interesting to see a turn, or any kind of storyline for that matter, planned in advance and then executed. WWE has teased McIntyre turning for a long time now and then they finally went there. That is something interesting and it makes for some rather entertaining television. What matters now is following it up, but at least the start has gone well.
