The List Keeps Going. Another First Time Title Match Confirmed For WrestleMania 35.

Another title to be won. Earlier this month on SmackDown Live, Samoa Joe won his first title in WWE by becoming the United States Champion. As tends to be the case with the title, it became a bit of bad luck for him as he lost his second match as champion when Rey Mysterio pinned him last week on SmackDown Live. I think you know what this means for WrestleMania 35.

This week on SmackDown Live, Mysterio announced that he will be facing Samoa Joe for the United States Title at WrestleMania 35 next month. There is an additional detail included though as Mysterio’s son Dominic (who previously appeared fourteen years ago as part of Mysterio’s feud with Eddie Guerrero) will be in the front row for the match. Mysterio has never won the United States Title.

Opinion: The Dominic appearance is interesting but the more important thing here is that, for the moment at least, this is a one on one match which is probably best for everyone. We’ve seen enough four way matches for the title as of late and there’s no need to do anything more than that. Samoa Joe vs. Mysterio is a big time match and hopefully they get enough time (as much as they can on the show) to make it work.
