The Undertaker interfered in the Rhodes vs. Reigns match, appearing near the end to chokeslam the Rock. This was an unadvertised appearance and Undertaker’s first time in a WWE in ring several months. Undertaker spoke about the appearance during his Six Feet Under podcast and revealed that Triple H had contacted him about the appearance the Tuesday before the show. However, Undertaker did not know that he would be appearing for sure until the show had stated. As previously reported, the original plan called for Steve Austin to appear in the spot but WWE could not come to terms with him.
It’s a big one. Check out Undertaker at WrestleMania:
Opinion: It never ceased to amaze me how what feels like an intricate show with everything being planned out that far in advance is actually being put together with so little time. Undertaker not knowing that he was going to be in the spot until so late is rather impressive as you wouldn’t have believed it given how everything went. It was a well done situation and that is exactly what it needed to be.
