They’re expanding too? We’re coming up on one of the biggest days in wrestling history with the expansion of NXT to a two hour live event and the addition of AEW’s weekly television show. Those shows have gotten most of the attention and that is for good reason. However, there is another show that might be getting its own expansion and that could be interesting.
According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling recently held a show in California called Cali Combat. During the show, Impact Wrestling attempted to film a backdoor pilot for a second show for the company, which would likely be a weekly studio show. There is no word on when the show would air, but it would likely not be until the company moves over to a new television network. The show would probably air on the same network as Impact Wrestling.
This is what happens when there is combat in California. Check out a preview for the regular version:
Opinion: I can appreciate the idea of wanting to expand, but shouldn’t Impact be worried about growing their audience a bit more before expanding? It’s not like they have so much going on that they have this kind of time. Every week features a flashback moment so you’re not even getting the full two hours in the first place. It’s a nice idea but not the most practical thing at the moment.
Would you watch another Impact Wrestling show? What are they doing well at the moment? Let us know in the comments below.
