One more for the pile. John Cena’s rise up the mainstream ladder has been hard to ignore over the last few years. Cena has been appearing in various mainstream acting roles and hosted a few major awards shows, such as the “Teen Choice Awards” and the “ESPYs” in 2016. Now it’s 2017 and the list is getting even longer.
According to the Hollywood Reporter,
Cena will be hosting the 2017 “Kids Choice Awards” The Awards are held annually in March with the 2017 edition taking place on Saturday, March 11. Cena isn’t the first wrestler to host the show as Dwayne Johnson was the host back in 2009. There is no reason to believe that this will interfere with Cena’s WWE schedule.
This is another sign that Cena is becoming one of the biggest stars in Hollywood which is something he certainly deserves. He’s been in mainstream movies, he’s already got a following and has the kind of natural charisma that should be perfect for a show like this. Cena should be fun as a host and it should be interesting to see where he goes from here.
