Add another to the list. The Miz is one of the best Intercontinental Champions of all time and has rocketed up the list of the most combined days as champion. However, he doesn’t defend the title all that often, which is becoming a bit annoying. That’s going to change on Sunday though as he has a title defense at “No Mercy 2017”.
This week on “Monday Night Raw”, Jason Jordan won a six pack challenge to become the new #1 contender to Miz’s Intercontinental Title. Jordan defeated Bo Dallas, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Elias and Curtis Axel with a wheelbarrow neckbreaker putting Axel away. This is Miz’s first pay per view title defense since “Great Balls of Fire” in July.
Here’s how things got set up.
Jason Jordan defends his father against The Miz: Raw, Sept. 18, 2017
Opinion: I’m actually digging this Jordan push as he’s not exactly flying through the roof and it’s making for an acceptable run. Jordan winning the title is an acceptable move and he’s someone who can run with it, especially depending on where the Kurt Angle story goes from here.
Do you think Jordan wins the title on Sunday? If not, who takes the title from Miz? Let us know in the comments below.
