Maybe he used the gold to build his house. AJ Styles made his WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble, shocking the wrestling world and quickly taking the company by storm. He is currently in his second reign as WWE Champion, which is now at over ten months long, putting him in some pretty rare air. That kind of stat leads to several others, one of which is rather impressive.
According to Reddit user Tygrus by way of NoDQ.com, Styles has been in WWE for 964 days as of this week. Of those 964 days, he has spent 539 days as a champion of some sort. Styles has two WWE Championship reigns for 448 days and two US Title reigns for 91 days. That would mean Styles has been a champion of some sort for about 56% of his time with the company. By comparison, John Cena has held a title of some sort for 1,881 of his 5,920 days with the company, or about 32%.
Here’s an awesome match the two had on one of their days together:
Opinion: Is there anything Styles can’t do at this point? He’s held the title for a long time now and it feels like he just won the thing. Styles has had some very good matches with a variety of opponents and they all come out of their matches with Styles looking that much better. Being a champion for more than half of his time with the company puts him on another level, as there can’t be many people near that level.
What do you think of Styles’ reign? How long will he hold the title? Let us know in the comments below.
