Those conference finals can be treacherous. There’s only so much Impact Wrestling (or any wrestling company for that matter) can do against mainstream sports. The NBA conference finals are going strong at the moment and they’re going to cause a heavy impact on any other program being offered. This includes Impact Wrestling, which doesn’t have the biggest audience in the world to start. So what was the damage this week?

Opinion: Ouch. The rating is holding about the same from week to week but the viewership is just all over the place. The problem that I’ve seen over the last few weeks has been the lack of a story that makes me interested. Everything is watchable (well, save for Kongo Kong, who was in the main event) but nothing feels like something that I need to go out of my way to see. Instead it’s a bunch of stuff that is happening and I’m just there watching it. I need more than that, and it seems to be the case for a lot of the audience as well.
