Ever since the upcoming ‘All In’ show was confirmed for Chicago, the wrestling world has been questioning if the event will see the long-awaited return of CM Punk to the squared circle. Even with the show three months away, speculation is at a fever pitch.

The night before ‘All In,’ Punk will sign autographs in accordance with the show at the Pro Wrestling Tees store. By all appearances, the “Best in the World” is preparing for his return to wrestling and it’s easier to speculate when he’s literally being seen backstage.

Jenn Decker recently appeared on the Collider Bodyslam podcast and confirmed Punk was backstage during the press conference she hosted for ‘All In.’ Of course, there are several reasons why he could have been behind the scenes. However, that is not going to stop wrestling fans from speculating for the next few months about his involvement.

The fact is that wrestling fans would be ecstatic if the former WWE Champion just made an appearance during the show. The expectation is Punk has retired from in-ring action, so he’d most likely cut a promo of some kind and receive a hero’s return to the industry.

This might be what to expect if Punk returns on September 1st:

CM Punk's Hometown Entrance

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported earlier today that Dr. Amann’s lawsuit against Punk will be taken to trail. His issues with WWE also haven’t been resolved and it’s possible they never will. As a result, ‘All In’ could potentially be the last time the Best in the World steps into a wrestling ring. On paper, it would be a more fitting goodbye.

Even if CM Punk doesn’t make an appearance during the event, it should be one of the most fun shows of the year. It will be historic regardless of Punk’s involvement.

Do you believe CM Punk will make an appearance during ‘All In?’
