What’s the staying power of a baseball bat to the face? Last week’s episode of “Impact Wrestling” drew the biggest audience in over six months due to an incident involving Sami Callihan, a baseball bat, and Eddie Edwards’ face. It was the talk of wrestling for the week, but how many viewers stuck around?
Miss last night’s show? Here are some quick highlights.
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised at the numbers being down. The fans wanted to see the carnage that was heavily publicized but didn’t seem interested in sticking around for the regular show. That’s not the biggest shock in the world as “come see a guy get hit in the face with a bat” is actually a pretty strong drawing card. What they had was far from terrible, but it’s a noticeable drop.
And here’s what drew last week’s big audience.
