This is the main event? For over a year now, the general consensus among wrestling fans is that Roman Reigns will end “Wrestlemania XXXIV” by conquering Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Title. While the title match itself is already set, there’s a chance that it won’t be the last thing on the show.

This might be the last thing you see instead.

Ronda Rousey gets her WrestleMania match: Raw, March 5, 2018

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, there is a chance that the Triple H/Stephanie McMahon vs. Kurt Angle/Ronda Rousey match will be closing the show instead of Reigns vs. Lesnar. The idea here is twofold: WWE wants to downplay Lesnar as he may be on the way out of the company but also wants to have the fans rally behind Reigns rather than loudly booing him as they’ve done in the past.

Paul Heyman responded to Reigns this week, which you can read about here.

Opinion: I’m really not sure I buy this. If there’s one thing WWE has shown over the last few years, it’s the ability to push Reigns at all costs. Rousey may be a huge star at the moment, but having her debut in the main event of Wrestlemania sounds like quite the leap of faith. I’m expecting Reigns vs. Lesnar to close the show and the more I think about it, the more certain I am.

Unless it’s more build around this.
