So she’s not an Anderson. Last night on “Smackdown Live”, Carmella won a squash match against a jobber named CJ Lunde. The match included a noticeable botch and while it only lasted about three minutes, it was a bit hard to watch due to a complete lack of chemistry and some pretty bad execution. If you’re a fan of women’s indy wrestling, you might be familiar with Lunde under another name.
According to 411mania.com, Carmella’s opponent
last night was indy wrestler Thunder Kitty, who has appeared for a variety of independent organizations over the years, including Shimmer and Ring of Honor. Lunde’s ring name seemed to be a rib on/reference to Arn Anderson (real name Marty Lunde), who works behind the scenes for WWE as an agent.
If this is the last appearance of Lunde on WWE TV, at least for a very long time, I wouldn’t be complaining. The match was just a step above a disaster and the main roster women need some better opponents to keep them looking good. I’m aware that she has some experience and maybe this was just a bad night but it really didn’t work in the slightest.
What did you think of the match last night? Do you see Lunde appearing in WWE again anytime soon? Let us know in the comments below.
