He would know something about brotherhood. There’s no denying that Hulk Hogan is one of, if not the, biggest stars in wrestling history. He was a top star for nearly twenty years and had the biggest face run of all time to go alone with one of the best heel runs of all time. However in 2015, recordings of Hogan using a racial slur came to light and Hogan was released from his WWE contract. He has since been welcomed back to the WWE family, meaning he has something to say.

Hogan recently appeared on the debut edition of the Apter Chat podcast to discuss his process of coming back to WWE. During the interview, Hogan talked about making an apology to the WWE locker room at last month’s Extreme Rules pay per view. Hogan didn’t seem to think highly of people who didn’t accept his apology, saying their lack of acceptance went against the brotherhood of wrestling. Here are his comments, courtesy of Prowrestlingsheet.com:

“A lot of people accepted my apology. And a lot of people heard what they wanted to hear and a lot of the narrative that came out of the meeting was on point. A lot of the narrative was really different. I was surprised to hear some people interpreted what I said that I was just sorry I got caught on camera, or whatever they interpreted, but I never said that.”

“I just hope the brotherhood can get back to the way it was. Outside the ring, you’re supposed to protect your brother. In this case, it’s a situation where 75, 80, 90 percent of the wrestlers are protecting me and they’re giving me another chance to move forward. There’s just a few wrestlers that kinda like don’t understand the bond and the brotherhood of wrestling. If someone makes a mistake, you need to forgive them and move on and try to let them prove themselves.”

Brock Lesnar crashes Hulk Hogan's birthday celebration: Raw, Aug. 11, 2014

Opinion: I can’t imagine this one going very well. What Hogan is basically saying is “I’m a wrestler so you have to forgive me” and that’s not going to play for the most part. Hogan said something that isn’t going to be well received among either fans or other wrestlers. He said something stupid a long time ago and he needs to accept that there are consequences. Blaming other people who won’t forgive him isn’t going to work.
