And it’s done. Sami Zayn has been one of the best things about “Monday Night Raw” in recent weeks as he can take a beating like few others could ever hope to. He’s also been in one of the top spots on the roster and it’s been fun to see him get better and better. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, Zayn’s push is going
to be coming to an end as Seth Rollins is scheduled to be back in action and Finn Balor will be returning to WWE. On top of that, Chris Jericho has turned face and become one of the top faces on the roster. As it stands, Zayn simply isn’t needed in the role.
Opinion: They’re not wrong, but I have no idea why one of these multiple faces isn’t shifted over to “Monday Night Raw”. After Randy Orton, the top face on “Smackdown Live” is John Cena, who seems ready to take another hiatus. After that there’s Dean Ambrose, who is mainly a midcarder. One might think Zayn would be a perfect fit over there but it doesn’t seem to be the case for some reason.
