Welcome back. There are all kinds of wrestling promotions in the world outside of the larger companies. While those shows might not get the same attention, they have strong fan bases with people who care about what is happening in those promotions. It can be a big deal when one of their stars becomes a big deal elsewhere, but now one of those big deals came back for a special moment.

Drew McIntyre made a surprise appearance at Insane Championship Wrestling’s (ICW) After Hours event on Friday. McIntyre came to the ring and hugged Jack Jester, who he had been associated with during his time in the promotion. ICW was McIntyre’s home promotion for the early part of his career, as well as where he wrestled between his WWE stints. This comes as WWE is in Glasgow for Saturday’s Clash At The Castle event, where McIntyre will be challenging Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.

That is awesome. Check out McIntyre’s return, plus his time in WWE:
Opinion: There is something so cool about seeing one of the biggest stars in wrestling today going back to a place that had such meaning to him in his career. I’m not sure if his appearance was announced in advance, but that is one heck of a special surprise if it wasn’t. McIntyre is one of the top names today and going to a smaller promotion like that is not something a lot o wrestlers would do.
