This week on SmackDown, Kevin Owns was scheduled to face A-Town Down Under with the help of a mystery partner. Owens’ partner was said to not be there in person, resulting in a wrestler named “Ricky” taking the spot instead. According to 411mania.com, the wrestler was independent star Ricky Gibson, who wrestles as part of the tag team Midnight Heat. Randy Orton wound up being Owens’ partner instead, with Owens giving Ricky a Stunner before the match.

Opinion: The whole segment was a lot of fun and that is all it was supposed to be. Orton being the partner in the end was a fun way to go but having it come after Ricky showed up made it even better. There is nothing wrong with having a bit of fun in a segment like this and WWE was certainly not trying to do anything more than have a good time with the whole thing.
