He's In: Speculation Over WWE Storyline Changing Due To New Name Being Introduced

This can include some people being added into the stories that have already been started. It seems that is the case as a new star is being injected into a long running feud.

Over the last few weeks, Santos Escobar has taken a new direction as he shows respect for Rey Mysterio. This included standing up for Rey against Rey’s son Dominik and Rhea Ripley this week on SmackDown. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Escobar is likely to play a roll in the Rey vs. Dominik feud, which is expected to lead to a match at WrestleMania 39. This comes as Escobar was added into the story out of nowhere and has stood up for Rey since showing respect to him earlier this month. There was no specific story given and this was given as speculation rather than a definitive plan.

Opinion: This is an interesting twist, as Rey vs. Dominik on its own is a good enough WrestleMania program. At the same time though, Escobar getting some spotlight as part of the story is also a way to go. If WWE can elevate Escobar and Dominik at the same time then good for them, as both of them could use the help. Escobar has been needing to find a way to break out for a long time now, and this very well may be the move.
