They need the fresh blood. There are a lot of different rosters and places to wrestle in WWE, though some of them seem more important than others. Last month NXT showed that they could hang with Monday Night Raw and SmackDown by defeating them in the battle for Brand Supremacy at Survivor Series. That made the company a three brand product, but what about the fourth show?
In addition to Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT, WWE also has 205 Live as the home for the cruiserweights. The show has been around for just over three years and has not been the most well received show in the world. It is often presented in front of smaller crowds as a lot of the fans have already left the arena after SmackDown, making it feel a lot less important. Some fresh wrestlers could help though and that is where things are going from here.
This week on 205 Live, Joaquin Wilde, formerly known as DJZ, made his 205 Live and main roster debut. Wilde would face and defeat a local competitor named James Tapia in a short match. Wilde only debuted with NXT in June and debuted on the television show the same month, where he lost to Angel Garza in the first round of the Breakout Tournament. He would only wrestle one more time on NXT TV after this, losing to Shane Thorne in August. There is no word on if this is a permanent move, though it comes only two weeks after Danny Burch made his 205 Live debut as well.
Its time to take 205 Live from mild to WILDE ! Dont miss it. https://t.co/Jfch9P6qm1

Wilde looked good early. Check out his debut:
Opinion: I don’t know how much good this is going to do for the show as it has gone all the way down the ladder to the point where almost no one cares. The show has had a few great matches at times, but it has been made very clear that 205 Live does not matter in WWE’s eyes. Maybe Wilde can get some more spotlight here, but I don’t think it’s going to last all that long given how 205 Live works.
