Cody Rhodes returned to action at the Royal Rumble last weekend, winning the men’s namesake match. As a result, Rhodes will go on to WrestleMania to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. According to Fightful Select, Rhodes’ merchandise sales were “outstanding” at the Royal Rumble and following Monday Night Raw. Rhodes competed on Monday Night Raw, defeating Finn Balor in the show’s main event.

Opinion: It is pretty clear that Rhodes is already the next big star in WWE and the company is pushing him as a result. The question now is just how far he can go, as he could be a huge deal in a hurry. What matters so far is the fact that the fans seem to be right along for the right at the moment. Now WWE needs to keep it going, but for now it is off to a great start.
