They’re planting seeds. We are less than two months away from WrestleMania 39 and WWE has already started announcing the card. There have been multiple title matches set for the show, but several matches still need to be made official for Los Angeles. Since it is WrestleMania, a lot of these matches have to be planned far in advance. We may be seeing some of that work being done now.

Seth Rollins appeared on the Pat McAfee Show this week (with his appearance beginning at around 1:39:00) and talked about Logan Paul. Rollins talked about how he does not believe Paul truly loves wrestling and claimed that Paul was only coming into Rollins’ sport to make money. He also suggested that Paul would not say anything to his face and does his bragging on social media. Paul eliminated Rollins from the Royal Rumble, which led to speculation of a WrestleMania match between the two, but nothing has been made official. Here are some of Rollins’ statements, with transcription courtesy of Ringsidenews.com:

Rollins on Paul’s reasons for being in WWE:

“He doesn’t care about nothing but himself. I can respect the hustle, alright, I really do because it takes hustle to get to where he is at and to get the opportunities he’s got, but at the end of the day, it’s about passion. No one is going to suit up and play in the NFL football because they’re a social media superstar, right? They’re going to get creamed. He’s going to step into my world, and he’s going to get creamed. If you want to contribute and give back to our industry…you’re a fan of it, and you love it, right Pat? You’re a fan of it, you love it, you give back to it, you talk about it any chance you get, and you put it over. That’s not him, dude. That’s not him. He’s in it for himself. He’s in it for his own gain.”

And on why he doesn’t want Paul around:

“So, I don’t want you in my business if you’re going to leech off it and you’re going to take from it. Great if you’re going to help out and you’re going to make everything as good as you can, but if you’re going to come and do it for you…look I can only judge what he’s done in the past. His own history, that’s foretelling for the future, and that’s why I don’t like the guy. That’s why I don’t dig the guy and he’s going to go rub it in on social media. He’s going to talk his talk, but he don’t want to say nothing to my face.”

There is some potential here. Check out the two of them in WWE:

Opinion: This feels like a WrestleMania build to me and there is no reason to not have a match like this one. Rollins is an established veteran who can help guide the inexperienced Paul through a match, while Paul is the upstart who feels like an absolute natural any time he is in the ring. I could go for a big showdown between these two and that is certainly where we seem to be going.

What do you think of a possible match? How far can Paul go in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
