I know you. With the relaunch of “Impact Wrestling”, it’s clear that more talent needs to be brought in to restock some of the shelves. That’s the case again at this week’s tapings as a former WWE Champion was brought in to the roster, presumably full time. He’s someone who has worked for the company before, with Jeremy Borash saying he appeared at “Victory Road 2005”. Since that show didn’t actually exist, we’ll assume he meant “Victory Road 2004”.
According to Wrestlinginc.com,
Matt Sydal returned to the company in a match against Trevor Lee. Sydal is formerly known as Evan Bourne in WWE, where he was a Tag Team Champion with Kofi Kingston as part of Air Boom. He previously worked for the company in 2004-2005.
Opinion: I was never huge on Sydal and I’ve certainly lost the little interest I’ve had since he’s been gone from the company. His time in Ring of Honor didn’t do much for me but maybe he can do something else in a different company. If nothing else he’s better than the low cost talent that the company has been bringing in.
