Always have a plan B. There is no secret to the fact that the Women’s Revolution is one of the biggest things in WWE at the moment. With Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte at the helm, the movement is going to be part of one of the biggest matches on the card at the upcoming WrestleMania 35 and Rousey vs. Lynch or a triple threat, but it turns out that wasn’t WWE’s first choice.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plans for Rousey at WrestleMania would have seen her face Natalya, The feud would have seen Natalya turning on her friend and training partner Rousey, but injuries to Lynch and Charlotte, along with the death of Natalya’s father Jim Neidhart changed things up. The match was moved to the Christmas Eve Monday Night Raw instead.
This, but with about five times the people. Check out what was a good title match between Natalya and Rousey:
Opinion: I’m going to go on a limb and say they went in the right direction. Natalya vs. Rousey was a good match but I don’t think I can imagine it being stretched out to a WrestleMania level. That would be based almost entirely on emotion and I don’t know if these two can carry it that far. Also, Lynch and Charlotte belong on that spot more than Natalya, both now and in previous years.
