The first of many is set. We’re less than a month away from the next WWE pay per view with Hell In A Cell 2018. The show is traditionally one built more around the idea of violence, which means that the feud probably needed to be set up in the first place. That’s the case with the first match announced for the card, which was already set up just two days after Summerslam.

This week on SmackDown Live, it was announced that Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella would team up to face the Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag match at Hell In A Cell on September 16. The match came about when Maryse insulted Bryan, saying he should just call himself Daniel Bella. This will be Bella’s first match since this year’s Royal Rumble, which was her first match in nearly two years. It will be Maryse’s second in over seven years, with her most recent coming at WrestleMania 33. The match would also mean that Bryan has agreed to some kind of a new contract, though the length is unknown.
In a little more detail.
Opinion: The more I think about this, the more I actually like it. Bryan vs. Miz doesn’t feel like a feud that should be taking place inside of the Cell so going in a different way to get to the next match makes sense. When Bryan FINALLY beats Miz to get his revenge, it should be at the end of a long and difficult journey with Miz escaping him every single time. Say perhaps catching him in New York, where it all started? Maybe in April or so?
What do you think of this match? When will Miz and Bryan face off one on one next? Let us know in the comments below.
