It would be an honor. This week, the wrestling world was rocked by the shocking news that Bray Wyatt passed away at 36 years old. Since then, tributes to Wyatt have poured in from around the wrestling industry, including from both wrestlers and fans. There have been all kinds of statements made to honor him, but one interesting idea has been gaining some traction in recent days.

An online movement has begun to see WWE retire the Universal Title in honor of Wyatt, who introduced the blue version of the belt when the title changed brands after Wyatt won the championship at Crown Jewel 2019. Roman Reigns is the current champion and has held the title for nearly 1,100 days, though he does not currently carry the blue version of the title. There is nothing to suggest that WWE is planning to do anything with the title involving Wyatt, but here are some of the fans’ thoughts on the idea:

I have to agree they ain't using it no more it's the right thing to do retire that belt and give it to Jojo and the kids.

Roman Reigns should hand the belt to Bo Dallas to be burried with Windham.
It would be closure on all levels.

The title is already retired, and all champions have replica belts for them to keep. So Bray already had that belt in his possession. R.I.P Bray!

All due respect, @WWERomanReigns, @WWE & @TripleH should retire the Universal title since Bray held it last before Roman. Respectfully, Roman wouldn’t be champ w/out Bray. Roman can continue as Undisputed #WWE Champion & retire the Universal title in Bray’s memory. #RIPBrayWyatt pic.twitter.com/GCwUF2XoX2

I fully agree with you WWE SHOULD RETIRE THE BLUE BELT AND GIVE IT TO BRAYS FAMILY REST IN PEACE BRAY.

Wyatt did hold the title for a bit. Check out his time as champion:
Opinion: While I can accept the idea of wanting to honor Wyatt with something special like this, Reigns has been the top story in WWE for a very long time now and having his three year long title reign end this way would be a big stretch. WWE had a special tribute to Wyatt on SmackDown and that was quite great to see. It is great to want to honor him, but I don’t think this exactly works.
