That’s not nice. There are all kinds of ways to build up a storyline but one of the most common is to have one wrestler say something bad about the other. It is an idea that has worked for years and there is nothing to suggest that it is not as effective to this day. We are seeing it again this week as part of the setup to a pretty major title match on the bigger stage.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Come On? Important Update On Giulia’s WWE Debut Status

One of the matches set for next weekend’s Summerslam will see WWE Women’s Champion Bayley defending against the reigning Queen Of The Ring Nia Jax. This week’s edition of the SmackDown Lowdown featured an interview with Jax, who said that Bayley’s WWE career had not been memorable. While Jax said that Bayley had accomplished some things and is the reigning champion, you cannot pinpoint any great thing that she has done. Jax went on to say that she will squash Bayley at Summerslam.

Opinion: That’s quite the harsh thing to say and it might get some people talking. At the same time, Bayley is going to have something to say about Jax’s comments and that is the kind of reaction that should make for an interesting situation. It’s a tried and true method of building up a match and Jax’s statements did a rather nice job and we should be in for a big match at Summerslam.
