Say that again? Even though it’s about five months away, it’s not too early to start talking about the 2019 Royal Rumble. That’s one of the biggest, most important events of the year and offers some of the most exciting moments that WWE can put together. There’s a lot of fun to be had watching the countdown clock tick down but at the same time, the winner is an even bigger deal. So who might be winning next time?
According to Skybet.com, the current favorite to win the 2019 Royal Rumble is the Rock, with odds of 2/1. The favorite among wrestlers currently active on the WWE roster is Daniel Bryan at 6/1, followed by Seth Rollins at 8/1, Braun Strowman at 9/1 and Finn Balor, John Cena and Roman Reigns at 12/1 each. The Rock hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 32, in a match that lasted six seconds.
To be fair, he’s done it before.
Opinion: I’m not entirely sold on this one as I can’t imagine Rock wrestling in the Royal Rumble itself, especially if the match sets up a WrestleMania 35 main event match. Rock’s movie schedule isn’t something that he can just drop all of a sudden and the idea of him appearing on Monday Night Raw every week to promote the match would be an even bigger stretch. You never say never, but I’d be shocked to see it happen.
