Cruiserweight Title Match Official for “Great Balls of Fire”

The bark is probably worse than the match will be. Neville has been the Cruiserweight Champion since “Royal Rumble 2017” and while he’s been tested, no one has actually been able to beat him. After dispatching Austin Aries, Rich Swann, TJP and others, it was time for a fresh challenger and one was named this week on “Monday Night Raw”.

On tonight’s show, Akira Tozawa was officially named the #1 contender for the Cruiserweight Title. This came with a bit of a price as he was given the shot by Titus O’Neil, who negotiated the match after Tozawa officially signed with the Titus Brand. The match will take place at “Great Balls of Fire”.

Opinion: I’ve liked that match since it was first teased and it’s been a nice build. Tozawa signing with the Titus Brand is interesting, though not the best idea in the world. It’s not like Tozawa needs the extra rub, whatever that might be worth from the association in the first place.
