One more? There are certain records and accomplishments in wrestling that have been around for a very long time and are rarely approached in any meaningful way. On the rare occasions that someone does get close to reaching an all time milestone, the attention becomes even higher. That is what we might be seeing again next year for an all time record.

According to F4WOnline.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, WWE has “strongly talked about” the idea of John Cena receiving a World Title shot at some point during his 2025 retirement tour. The idea behind the match would be that Cena would have the chance to break Ric Flair’s all time record with a seventeenth World Title win. While no specific show had been named, WrestleMania 41 was considered an option.
This could work. Check out some of Cena’s biggest moments:
Opinion: I can’t say this is surprising in the slightest as if Cena is leaving for good, it would be great to see him getting one more chance at breaking the all time record. I’m not sure if he’ll actually make it happen, but WWE would be crazy to not go with this kind of a story in the final chance that they might have. Cena breaking the record is not out of the question either and that makes things all the more interesting.
