Close Call: Details On Backstage Reaction In WWE To Tiffany Stratton’s Controversial Video

She’s lucky. There are all kinds of things that take place behind the scenes in WWE and many of them wind up being a big deal. Some of those things are defused before they become a major problem, though occasionally it depends on who is involved. That appears to be the situation again, as a current WWE Superstar was rather close to being gone from the company.

Earlier this month, Tiffany Stratton posted a video to social media where she referred to Bianca Belair as a “Black b****.” According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the video was a “pretty significant situation” backstage in WWE with several fans sending the video to Paul Levesque. The belief is that if Stratton had not been such a big star, she would have been fired over the incident. Stratton went on to lose to Belair on SmackDown.

Opinion: I’m not sure how close Stratton came to being fired, but this does come off as a situation that never should have happened in the first place. I have no idea how Stratton could have thought this was ok or decided to publish it. Hopefully nothing close to this happens again, as I can’t imagine Stratton would be able to keep her job, or at least her position, a second time.
