Meet the new home, same as the old home. Over the last few weeks, one of the biggest stories has been the upcoming changes to the WWE television home. While it seems that Monday Night Raw is going to be sticking around in its same time slot thanks to a major deal with NBC Universal, SmackDown Live was up in the air. Now though, we seem to know where it’s landing.

According to ESPN, SmackDown Live will be moving to FOX (the main network rather than FOX Sports 1) in October 2019. While no specifics have been confirmed, the Hollywood Reporter reports that the deal is worth over $1 billion over five years. It should also be noted that according to The Wrap, SmackDown Live will be moving to Friday nights. Neither WWE nor Fox commented on the deal, which has yet to be publicly announced.

Since they’re changing networks, make sure to remember the times they were together.

Raw and SmackDown LIVE Superstars unite to bring you "The Best of Both Worlds" on WWE Network

Opinion: This is a long way off, but good night this is a major deal. To air the show on network television is huge, especially when FOX likely won’t have to put much effort into it. WWE runs on its own for the most part and having it on such a major network is a huge boost in eyes on the product. Hopefully they can increase the focus on SmackDown Live now and make it feel more important, but just getting this deal whatsoever is a huge upgrade for the company.

How will this change SmackDown Live? Will it become a bigger show? Let us know in the comments below.
