According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of Wrestlinginc.com, the decision was made to keep Strowman off the show as there was no desire to have him interact with Lesnar. The two brawled the previous week but WWE didn’t want to have them brawl again this week. The idea is that if the two are on the same show, they have to fight at this point and since that wasn’t going to be the case, Strowman didn’t appear.
Here’s what happens when they do get together:
Opinion: I kind of get this one. A problem with so many stories in WWE is doing the same things over and over again and then wanting people to pay to see it again. For instance, this week on “Smackdown Live”, we saw the Usos defeat the New Day for the right to pick the stipulation for their next match. They’ve fought multiple times in recent months and now we’re supposed to want to pay to see it again? The opposite is true with Strowman vs. Lesnar: if we don’t see them fight very often, we might be more interested in paying to see it when it happens.
Did you mind Strowman not being on TV this week? Will he win the title? Let us know in the comments below.
