That would stop it. Earlier this year, Vince McMahon was accused of sexually assaulting and sex trafficking of a former WWE employee. The fallout saw McMahon depart the company for good after the better part of forty years at the helm. This has led to questions about what will be next for McMahon, and while we have an idea of what is coming, there is one more big roadblock.

This week, news broke that McMahon was planning to launch an entertainment company, though no specifics about the launch date were given. According to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, if McMahon is indicted on charges relating to the situation, the company will likely not launch. Any indictment moving forward could be determined by the results of next week’s US Presidential election.

A decision is needed. Check out some other WWE related decisions:

Opinion: At the end of the day, this is something that is far bigger than wrestling, as the idea of McMahon facing criminal charges at the hands of the federal government over this is something quite interesting. I’m not sure what is going to happen or if he is going to face legal trouble over this, but there is at least a possibility of it and that would be an incredible ending to his story. McMahon has already gotten away from WWE but if this goes badly for him, he’ll be getting away from everything else too.
