That’s a change. Feuds in wrestling will often continue for multiple matches between the same people. As a result, it is often a good idea to boost up the story in some way, often by raising the stakes of a match. This can often include adding a new set of rules to the match, which can shake things up quite a bit. That is what we will be seeing in a title rematch next month.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: Major Title Change Takes Place In Monday Night Raw Main Event
Back at Summerslam in August, Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley to retain the WWE Women’s World Title following interference from Dominik Mysterio. Later in the month, Ripley pinned Morgan in a mixed tag team match also involving Mysterio, resulting in Ripley receiving another title shot at Bad Blood. This week on Monday Night Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Mysterio will be suspended in a shark cage over the ring during the match. Bad Blood takes place on October 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Opinion: This is a logical way for the feud to go and I’m curious to see how the match goes as a result. Mysterio was the big deciding factor in their first title match and unless Morgan has something else up her sleeve, Ripley will likely get the title back. It’s a case where one side is far more dominant than the other and now we’re getting to see what happens when the stakes are a bit more even.
