He’s a big Animal. With WrestleMania 35 just around the corner, it’s likely that we’re going to be seeing some big names from the past show up. It’s a trend that happens at almost every WrestleMania and it makes a lot of sense. You want the biggest stars for the biggest show of the year and that’s what WWE is trying to deliver. As it turns out, they’re not the only ones this year.

According to PWInsider.com, both WWE and Chris Jericho have met with Dave Batista in recent days. Batista reportedly met with WWE last Thursday and Jericho met him on Tuesday. WWE is reportedly interested in bringing Batista back at some point in the near future, though there is no word on how long the run would last. While there is no word on what Jericho and Batista spoke about, there is a chance that it could have been about coming to AEW at some point.

There’s definitely a history there. Check out Batista vs. Jericho from SmackDown:

Opinion: Batista has teased a return several times now, including hinting at a match with Triple H for this year’s WrestleMania. I’m not sure how likely a match at the show would be due to all of his movie commitments, though a short term deal wouldn’t shock me. Batista certainly has star power now and if he wants to come back, WWE would be a bit nuts to not take a chance on him.

Do you think Batista will be back? Who should he face? Let us know in the comments below.
