Can you blame him? Earlier this year, Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega were still down in NXT, where Almas was defending the NXT Title against Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Philadelphia in an instant classic. The call to the main roster came a few months later just after WrestleMania 34, but it hasn’t exactly gone well since then. As it turns out, Almas has noticed what’s been happening.

According to a report by Super Luchas by way of, Almas isn’t happy with his current placement in WWE. Almas was called up to the main roster in early April but didn’t wrestle on SmackDown Live for over a month. In his time on the main roster, he has wrestled less than twenty times on television with no title shots and hasn’t won a match since September 11, when he defeated R-Truth on SmackDown Live. Rush, a current star in Mexico, was offered a WWE contract and turned it down due to what has happened to Almas in WWE.

Yeah there’s no way to use this guy. Check out this great match with Almas defending the NXT Title against Gargano:

Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Johnny Gargano - NXT Championship Match: WWE NXT, Feb. 21, 2018

Opinion: I can’t blame him a bit. Almas is 29 years old, internationally recognized, incredibly talented and has crazy good chemistry with Vega, yet he can barely get on television no matter what he does. With the lack of top talent on either show, there is a huge place for him yet for some reason WWE would rather push people who are driving the ratings and viewership down in droves. It’s not like Almas could cater to a huge audience in particular while also entertaining the masses at the same time.

What do you think of Almas? Should he be pushed harder on TV? Let us know in the comments below.
