He’s done. Retirement is a tricky subject for a lot of wrestlers as you never know how they might end their careers. Sometimes it is something as simple as deciding that it is time to go, but not everyone is capable of walking away. Every so often someone knows that they are ready to go or have to for one reason or another. That seems to be the situation again with a former AEW star.

Former AEW star Marko Stunt has announced that he has retired from professional wrestling. Stunt released a statement to Twitter, saying that he was forced to retire due to a variety of long term health issues, which he did not specify. Stunt, 28, thanked AEW and Game Changer Wrestling for his time in both promotions, as well as the ans for believing in him along the way. He has only wrestled twice since 2022, with his most recent match taking place on the July 6 AEW Dynamite.

Opinion: This is something that happens on occasion and you never want to see someone have to hang up their boots so young. The good thing about the whole situation is that Stunt was smart enough to walk away when he needed to rather than stick around and make things worse. At his age, he is more than capable of coming back later on should his health improve, but for now, this sees to be it for him, which might be the best result.
