With the women’s division becoming more prominent in wrestling programming, it was only a matter of time before the company capitalized on it.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that WWE are planning to announce a women’s Money In The Bank match for the pay-per-view of the same name to be held on June 18. If this does proceed and play out on WWE television, this will be the first women’s Money In The Bank match ever created.

If this is to be revealed, fans should expect to see it on television within the coming weeks. Stay tuned to “Smackdown Live” to find out more information. Raw previously held the first ever women’s Hell In A Cell match in late 2016. This can be seen as a counterpart to that.

It should also be noted, as the Sheet explains, that using the hashtag #givewomenachance would lead to WrestleMania 33 seeing the Smackdown Womens Championship be defended on the main show as opposed to the pre-show.

WWE has brought “Money In The Bank” as a pay per view since 2010, and this year marks the first time in several since there were two Money In The Bank matches in one night.

Six-Woman Tag Team Match: WWE Backlash 2017 (WWE Network Exclusive)

Editor’s Note:

I am beyond excited to see what is in store for us fans at the PPV if WWE do decide to go through with this plan. I predict Carmella or Natalya will walk out the winner, but Tamina would also be an unexpected but good choice.

I also believe the company has only ever done a 5 man Money In The Bank once, and it was the all-Star version. That will make this very interesting looking forward.
