Pro Wrestling Sheet has today shared a video of a pilot for what was to be a cooking show featuring ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage and The Big Show that never saw the light of day.
The video, shown below, was uncovered by a user on Reddit. The user explains that the video was found in a moldy storage unit and features a unique cast of characters, including WWE Hall of Famer ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage and The Big Show.
Titled ‘Wrestlin’ Up Some Grub,’ the pilot was produced by the Reddit user’s father in 1999. He explains that “It was never picked up by a network. My father pitched it to WWF (at the time, now WWE), Food Network and other networks. Looking at the stuff on Food Network these days, I wonder if it would have worked 10 years later.”
Before you watch the video, we must warn you that the audio does have some problems, so the weird noises you’ll hear aren’t a problem with your device, but the footage itself.
The video features wrestlers ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, The Big Show, The Bushwackers and Brian Knobs of The Nasty Boys. It is unknown if the cast would rotate to a degree over time.
Editor’s Note:
What a hidden gem! I love this! I for a long time have wanted a cooking show on the WWE Network. Now I realize we could’ve had something similar to what I wanted over a decade ago. Nice to see Randy, haven’t seen any footage of him in a while.
