The Undertaker Was Backstage at ‘Smackdown Live’ Last Night

According to PWInsider, WWE legend The Undertaker was backstage last night or ‘Smackdown Live’ in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Undertaker is by far one of the most iconic superstars in professional wrestling history. People unfamiliar with wrestling on the scale many fans are will still have heard of his name.

With ‘Raw’ planning their 25th anniversary show featuring a plethora of legends including Kevin Nash and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin for January 22 in New York City, it is quite possible that The Undertaker was at ‘Smackdown Live’ to go over his big appearance.

What makes this appearance so significant is that it is on the road to ‘WrestleMania 34’ and as we all know, The Undertaker was defeated by current WWE Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns last year at ‘WrestleMania 33‘ where ‘The Phenom’ symbolically laid his gear out in the middle of the ring and walked out to close the show, indicating his retirement.

While some fans speculate his return will result in a ‘WrestleMania’ match potentially with 16-time WWE Champion John Cena, we are at this time unsure what his appearance may mean.

For all intents and purposes, his appearance on ‘Raw’ for the 25th Anniversary show may just be that – an appearance.
