Former WWE Superstar Rich Swann has begun to cancel what is left of his indie wrestling appearances following his recent announcement, according to WrestlingInc.

Swann began 2017 on a high note, but ended on the opposite when he was arrested and charged for false imprisonment/kidnapping and misdemeanor battery after an alleged incident between himself and wife Vannarah Riggs, who works at Impact Wrestling as Su Yung.

As we recently reported, Swann announced via his Twitter account while venting about the way he feels he is being treated in the industry that he would be retiring.

Swann had noted previously that he would finish the bookings he had taken, but he wouldn’t accept any after that.

While it was unknown how many bookings he’d already made, it is worth noting he has been wrestling a lot, according to many reports we’ve seen.

News has now broken that he is now pulling himself from basically all of his scheduled appearances, which includes the appearance he had planned for Crash during ‘WrestleMania 34’ weekend.

Swann is reportedly discouraged by the reaction he is receiving during these appearances. If his tweets are any indication, these reactions would be negative and based on his arrest and what led to it.

It is still unknown right now if Swann will actually retire or just take a break from the ring to allow the hatred to settle.

The man in the video below is not the same man we see today, for better or for worse.
