At the event, Sane came out for her match against the 20-year-old Australian, Rhea Ripley. There she was met with several racist chants regarding her race and the Pearl Harbour incident.
@FLWrestlingFan on Twitter was the first to reference this, as he said the following:

Another fan by the name of Bryan also tweeted about the incident, only with a tad more violence.
To the guy who yelled, "Remember Pearl Harbor" toward Kairi Sane at #NXTStPetersburg…. I'd like to meet you outside and personally show you how we treat women, let alone Japanese women. You're a piece of shit and I'll spit in your face.

Sane responded to the original tweet by FL Wrestling Fan with a small picture of a number of children holding hands in a circle around Earth. The picture depicts male and females of various ethnicities all happy to be a part of one thing.

It is unknown at this time if the fans got in trouble for their chants, though given no people who attended the show have come forward saying anything happened, we imagine there was nothing done about it.
For what it is worth, for those wanting to know, the match was said to be incredible by those in attendance. Sane was victorious after a lengthy match using her Elbow Drop finisher.
