It has been noted that Rousey is looking for Paul Heyman to manage her. This is something many fans have asked for, as Rousey has appeared to struggle on the microphone so far in the company, though this is still early days.
It is unlikely, the Observer claims, that this will happen due to internal company politics and the pairing wouldn’t fit the narrative surrounding Rousey signing with the company.
As fans are aware, Heyman works as a heel on WWE TV and Rousey works as the protagonist to Stephanie McMahon’s antagonist nature. There was a time when Lesnar was booked as a face with Heyman by his side, but this is an outlier and Heyman is generally looked at as a heel manager.
It is also worth noting that Rousey was brought in due to her strong drawing power from female fans, but the Observer notes that female viewership hasn’t really gone up. The men, however, is way up. So in a way, Rousey has helped increase viewership, but not in the demographic they wanted.
You can find Rousey training for four hours straight at the WWE Performance Center below.
Would you like to see Rousey team with Heyman? If she can’t, who is the next best solution?
