In disconcerting news, as first reported by WrestlingInc, Jerry “The King” Lawler reportedly suffered a stroke just two weeks prior to WrestleMania 34.
Lawler explained through his Dinner With The King podcast that he actually suffered the stroke just two weeks before he was scheduled to work with WWE for WrestleMania 34.
The stroke reportedly came as Lawler was in his home with his fiancé, Lauryn on March 21. He was unable to speak for three days. Additionally, his face was sagging on one side.
On the Saturday morning that followed, Lawler woke up and felt 100% better, meaning he could continue his work in the wrestling industry and keep his appearance for WrestleMania.
Doctors were also shocked to see Lawler make such a quick recovery, yet he was able to overcome everything and appear.
You can check out Lawler in a classics clip from WWE below.
