Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline has provided an update on why WWE United States Champion AJ Styles hasn’t been competing on ‘Smackdown Live‘ recently.

Styles last competed against Tye Dillinger on the September 12 edition of the show, which is almost a month ago. While he has appeared, competing is an entirely different thing.

Meltzer noted that Styles is being saved for dark matches following ‘205 Live’ so people in the arena don’t leave, as they’d want to see him compete.
