F4WOnline.com is reporting that WWE has decided on a venue for the location of WrestleMania 32 in 2016. Moreover, the report says that the company has told the winner not to reveal that it has been selected, and to wait until they are ready to announce it themselves.
Rumors surfaced Thursday that a shared bid between Detroit, Mich. and Windsor, Ontario, Canada had come in for the big event, which would culminate with the second WrestleMania ever held at Ford Field. Orland, Fla. and Dallas, Texas were also said to be in the running.
Furthermore, it is also said the company is close to reaching a deal with an undisclosed city on the location of WreslteMania 31, to be held in 2015. Philadelphia, Pa. and Santa Clara, Calif. have been rumored to be in the running, but nothing is confirmed at this time as to a definitive location.
It should be noted that Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, will be undergoing renovations over the next two years.
Official announcements are typically made around the time of the preceding year’s WrestleMania, though that is not necessarily set in stone.
