The WWE Network is currently celebrating “ECW Week,” and following “Monday Night Raw,” had a live feed of a show it called “ECW Exposed.” The special was hosted by former ECW figurehead Paul Heyman and announcer Joey Styles.
While the show was considered a success by many, others took an opportunity to take a shot at the brand itself, including some of its former workers. Primarily, one Tommy Dreamer.
Following the special, Style tweeted out a picture of him in front of an ECW backdrop identical to one he stood in front of years prior. Dreamer had a snark response:
Look what happens when u drink the kool aid @JoeyStyles 18 years & do I get paid for my banners or is it ECW STYLE pic.twitter.com/Ykzpa4wkFL

The comment was a shot, jokingly or not, at Heyman for failing to pay up to many of ECW’s former stars. He then responded:
Anyone who got to keep those banners, merch etc to offset debt shouldn’t be joking about #ECW style pay #Expose your own sins, not just mine

Styles later attempted to smooth things over:
A bit stiff @HeymanHustle. I’m pretty sure @THETOMMYDREAMER was joking about @WWENetwork #ECWExposed using an Original ECW budget. #loyalty

Yet Heyman still was having none of it, and went on a rant afterwards:
. @JoeyStyles @THETOMMYDREAMER @WWENetwork Not stiff. Just honest. Easy to jump on the “I got screwed” bandwagon. Harder to reveal the truth
— Paul Heyman (@HeymanHustle) November 12, 2014
. @JoeyStyles @THETOMMYDREAMER @WWENetwork Did I duck one question? Sugar coat a single answer? Didn’t I accept accountability for my sins?
— Paul Heyman (@HeymanHustle) November 12, 2014
. @JoeyStyles @THETOMMYDREAMER @WWENetwork I’ll take any deserved shot, even 13 years later. If you want ME to come clean, come clean w/ me!

To this point, there has been no further response, though the situation is still quite sticky, as one can see.
