It has been noted over the last several weeks that TNA has kicked around the idea of bringing back the six-sided ring, so much so that it has asked fans what their preference would be. With this poll, it was announced the company would listen to the fans and permanently go forward with the voted ring.
In a further update, the company has extended the poll on its official website, just a few days ahead of the Manhattan, N.Y. tapings at which it will use the selected ring. Dixie Carter had noted publicly the six-sided ring had been doing very well in the voting, and now it appears the company is near ready to make a decree with what ring it will use.
According to various online reports, Jeremy Borash announced at Friday’s “Impact Wrestling” tapings in Bethlehem, Pa. it was very likely the fans in attendance were witnessing the last TNA event with a traditional ring. This is strong indication the company will be reverting back to the non-traditional ring for the New York shows.
The six-sided ring had been a mainstay in TNA for years, but was then taken away when Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came into the company and made changes. TNA star Austin Aries recently took to Twitter to complain about the potential move.
So the people who don’t wrestle are letting people who don’t wrestle decide what I have to wrestle in? Great idea. My body, my vote. #4sides

What’s wrong with wrestling? Letting people who’ve never done it, and never put their bodies on the line, run the show. #DoesntWork #4sides — Austin Healy Aries (@AustinAries) June 18, 2014
Editor’s Note
It seems like almost everyone in the company is against it, but it looks like it’s happening. A total non-factor at this point.
